Education Takeaway was established when I found it difficult to find a range of educational games that had been introduced to us through story sacks, a large cloth bag containing a book with supporting materials, that my daughter was bringing home from school. As a parent, I was keen to encourage her and felt it was as much my responsibility as it was her teachers to help with her education in whichever way I could. Using the story sack gave us a chance to use the games and resources before we decided which ones would be of benefit to us. Finding these games and resources to buy on the High Street proved difficult. So after months of careful research and planning, Education Takeaway was launched. Selling mainly to parents through schools, exhibitions, events and home presentations led us to making the decision to have a website developed, which will enable us to reach a wider audience and expand our client base.
